Nominate a Child
Room for Love partners with social workers, school counselors, agency professionals, and community advocates to reach children who need a room that supports healing, comfort, and stability.
Nominations should be submitted by professionals working directly with families or children facing hardship.
The Process
Who Can Nominate a Child
Professionals who may submit a nomination include:
Social service agencies
School counselors and administrators
Family resource centers
Case managers and advocates
Community-based support organizations
Room for Love is not currently accepting self-nominations from families.
How We Evaluate Nominations
Each nomination is reviewed based on:
The family’s current circumstances
The child’s need for a safe, personal space
Agency partnerships and readiness
Project capacity and scheduling
Safety and suitability of the home environment
This keeps the selection process fair, thoughtful, and centered on the child’s wellbeing.

We Review the Referral

We Begin Planning the Room
Once approved, we work with the family to design a space that feels safe, joyful, and personal.
Powered by Local Generosity
Every Room for Love project is made possible by our incredible sponsors, donors, and volunteers who believe that every child deserves a space that feels safe and loved. Their support helps us turn design into impact—one room, one family, one act of kindness at a time.
